Signal Ark is a citizen science iOS application that provides access to curated radio telescope observation data, educational content about SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence), and related tools for scientific exploration and discovery.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Signal Ark. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
Signal Ark does not collect personally identifiable information. Anonymous device identifiers are used solely to enable app functionality such as entitlement syncing and journal backup. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Signal Ark offers optional in-app purchases through Apple's App Store:
All purchases are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's payment terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date in your Apple ID settings. Refund requests must be made through Apple.
Signal packages in Signal Ark are either real radio observation data (credited to the originating observatory) or educational simulations generated for learning purposes. The App clearly labels which category each package belongs to. Signal Ark makes no claim about the nature or origin of any detected signal — all analysis is for educational and citizen science purposes only.
The Signal Ark app, brand, and original content are © 2026 House of Digital Art. Observatory data is credited to and owned by its respective institutions (Green Bank Observatory, CSIRO, SARAO, etc.) under their respective licenses. NASA/ESA imagery used in the Cosmic Gallery is in the public domain. All credits are displayed within the App.
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, redistribute, or create derivative works from the App or its data packages. You may not use the App in any way that violates applicable law.
Signal Ark is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of scientific interpretations, the availability of the service, or the completeness of any data archive.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, House of Digital Art shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Signal Ark.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
